Static shot in AI video prompts: which docs use it
7 of the 24 models' docs use static shot: Adobe Firefly, Google Veo, HunyuanVideo 1.5, LTX Studio, MiniMax Hailuo, Step-Video-TI2V and Wan. A static or locked-off shot does not move. As of 2026-09-25.
A static or locked-off shot does not move. It lets the action carry the frame and signals stillness.
| Model | How the docs use it | From the docs |
|---|---|---|
| Adobe Firefly | defines it | Static: Keep the camera fixed in one position without any movement. |
| Google Veo | defines it | Static shot (or fixed) : the camera remains completely still, there is no movement. |
| HunyuanVideo 1.5 | uses it in an example | The camera remains static. |
| LTX Studio | defines it | Static vs. Handheld: Choose between a still, stable camera with no movement, or movement that mimics the motion… |
| MiniMax Hailuo | lists it as a command | Static: [Static shot] |
| Step-Video-TI2V | lists it as a command | Fixed Camera |
| Wan | uses it in an example | a fixed camera signals stillness and focus |
Inclusion rule. Models whose own docs define the word, list it as a command or preset, or use it in an example prompt. Order. Alphabetical by model name.
1How the docs use it
Adobe Firefly, Google Veo and LTX Studio define it; HunyuanVideo 1.5 and Wan use it in an example; MiniMax Hailuo and Step-Video-TI2V list it as a command.
A word the docs define is one the maker explains to users. A command or preset is one the model is set up to perform on request. A word that appears only in an example prompt is one the maker shows working, without promising more.
The other 17 models' docs do not use it in the pages read: Grok Imagine, Higgsfield, Kling AI, Leonardo Motion 2.0, LTX, Luma Dream Machine and others.

2A shot list from a script
Where “Static shot” has to be written by hand, SceneMixer's pipeline writes the shots; its guides explain:
SceneMixer writes dialogue into the script analysis, assigns each line to a shot with a speaker and a short delivery note, and the video model performs it — picture and audio generated together, so the mouth forms that sentence in the language you chose.

The shots add up to more than the selected video tier allows for one segment.

- handheld: Handheld means an operator holds the camera, so the frame breathes and shakes.
- aerial shot: An aerial or drone shot looks down from height, usually moving, to show a landscape or a sense of scale.
